repairing hardware i.e synths, samplers

Post by hifi » Fri Dec 21, 2012 6:44 am

hey, do any of you have any experience w/ repairing hardware? specifically samplers? I recently picked up this broken boss sp 303 and the guy who sold it to me said it just didn't turn on and I had already opened it up (slightly) to take pics to possibly send to some electronic repairman to fix it locally but i can't find anyone so im resorting to forums. any help is very very appreciated and if I could get it working i'll send over the 128mb smartmedia card to whoever helps honestly. i mean, this could probably be an easy fix but im not familiar with how electronics work at all . i can post all the pics ive taken so far as requested and if anyone knows at least of where i could get the most help please redirect me

post some pictures...could be a few things. sp 303 is the Dr sample correct? it has an on off switch on the back panel. it probably isn't worth the money it would cost to pay someone to fix it but it could be something easy.

Get the schematic and test it yourself, otherwise there will be someone in the world, somewhere, that will be able to fix it for you.
