FWD @ THE END

Post by corpsey » Sat Aug 18, 2007 9:13 am

Pretty big night, fuck the drink prices I got pissed anyways. Saw a few forum heads- hopper, ben ufo, ramadanman, boomnoise, beatunit (lol I know this isn't the right name but I can't remember it now), Grand (couldn't believe I was there lol), mos dan etc etc...

Appleblim played a good set, shame people were queuing for fucking four hours outside really. Distance also heavy. Wiley with Karnage= can't believe he showed up lol Shame Trim wasn't there but...

Newhams brought hype, could barely hear Double but everytime I heard anything that sounded like him I basically wet myself. Kode with Flowdan was maybe set of the night for me. Youngsta though- mixing like a fucking don, Riko was sick when he turned up too.

Should have watched more of Slimzee in room 2, what I heard sounded big.

Not really sure I like the End to be honest but all in all was a heavy night.

Now I'm going to die.

heavy night, kode 9 stuck out as the best for me, tubby/geeneus also and youngsta.

went out for a cigarette and didn't get let back in so didn't see benga/hatcha but my head was mashed anyway.

I LOVE THE END SECURITY

Just got up from a few hours sleep and I could probably do with a good few more really as I'm a bit shattered. Really glad I made it down, got there early and luck was on my side yesterday as the bouncer checked my 16-17 oyster card, chuckled and told me to have a good night :D. Had a really good time at this one but had kind of mixed feelings about the whole night. I thought the vibe was a bit different to normal and there were so many new converts to dubstep there last night! I kept on losing track over where everyone was and spent ages wondering about.

Never knew Wiley had actually turned up, think I missed the whole Karnage set which I'm a little pissed off about. I think Kode 9 and Youngsta were the 2 sets of the night for me. Really enjoyed the way that Youngsta's set flowed and they went easy on the pullups, thought Riko went really well with Youngsta as well. A quick lil moan - too many pullups :x ! More or less 2 out of every 3 songs was getting pulled up through kode and n-type's sets and I'd just much rather the songs rolled out and I could sit on the bassweight a bit more! Out to each and everyone I spoke to over the night.

kode 0 and flodan were hihglights - as well as newham

for some reason you couldn't hear the mcs right at the back?

que sounds silly - had tickets and was straight in by 10.30

good atmosphere and good crowd

shame hatcha was on so late would have loved to have seen mighty moe!

Here's a good idea: hold a party where you book almost everyone whose anyone in the dubstep and grime scenes and put it in a venue where only 30% of the crowd who would be interested in seeing it can actually get in.

GET A BIGGER CLUB YOU RETARDS.
Pissed.

or just turn up earlier :?

Anyways,

Distance droppin headstrung was mad for me, I knew by this point it was a £12 well spent, and hearing Chef murkin it in room 2 was just pure O M G.

Youngsta's mixin was sick and Kode9 was just pure heavy!! Bigup newham gens, tubby and gee murkin it big style and got everyone hypedddddd up.

Bigup the lights on skankers making the very most of Hatcha and Benga's set and the whole stamina crew in general!

Worst part of the night for me was finding out the Victoria line was shut for maintenance and couldnt be arsed to get the bus so just ended up walking from Tottenham court road to Victoria. Felt pure wierd walkin past shops like Gucci and Burberry with NO ONE inside makin it look pure easy to rob..

Didnt get in till a shocking 8:20am and slept for 3 hours and woke up to a nice fry up, Standard!

Yes Corpsey, i'm the one whose name you couldn't remember!
Big up all the forum heads that I chatted too (Too many names to mention)

2nd Dubstep night i've ever been too and I have to say I thought it was SICK.

Oh, and was loving the fact that they didn't really give a shit about smoking. Then again, for the amount of money I spent, they fucking well shouldn't!!!

Until the next time...............

I actually thought it was quite cheap...but then I was religiously on the red bulls which were only £2.50 each rather than the usual £3 at places like mass and plastic people..and half the time they arent even red bull but a more tesco value related drink called "shark".

yeah i think it was just the 2 pound a pop warmup in the crown that made the end seem pricey. didnt ruin the night or anything though, i was drunk on snare and bass
