Ableton Sound Problem!!

i have been using ableton for about half a year and it has worked fine until today. all my songs are lagging and they will skip sounds and they play them at random moments like it behind. this is impossible to work with and i cleared out about 50GB of junk and that still dident help! why all of a sudden is this happening i not changed anything at all? how can i fix this? thanks guys!

Are you running too many plugins and effects? Could be your processor.

hardware wise could be your harddrive slowing, ram sticks getting knackered/loose, processor getting old. if you know someone willing to lend you some components so you can see whats causing the problem.

software wise it could be as said above, open up task manager and see what services and processes are hogging ram and processing power.

to eliminate all software issues back up what you want to keep and do a clean install of windows. then load up ableton again in a new project and if it continues to do this then its most likely a hardware issue, or an issue with your copy of ableton *cough cough*
