Flux Pavilion bells?
Does anyone know where I can find bell samples like the ones that play at 0:05 in? Or what those bells are called? They're in lots of Flux Pavilion tracks.
Thanks in advance!

step by step for massive, it's so simple to do though so you should be able to make it with any synthesizervault wrote:Hey guys!
Seems like Eptic Bass is quit trendy right now, and I found them very interesting, so I was wondering how to *fully* create these things:
It's at 1:09, and I think it's LFO'd or something.
And throughout the whole this song after 0:20.
1. Restart via gate on
2. 2 sine waves, 4 octaves apart from eachother, -24 and +24 semitones
3. hardclipper with drive all the way up
4. 1 saw wave, +2 octaves, +24 semitones (this just makes the sound a little bit smoother, it's optional)
5. lowpass filter with cutoff all the way up (this just makes the sound a little bit smoother, it's optional)
then you can play with LFOs, amp envelopes and such.

yeah a cowbell i think, or one of those cowbells with two longer thinner cowbells attached to a stick (i cant remember what they are called).
Re: Flux Pavilion bells?

Re: How to make this Sound December 2012
the sound your wanting to replicate is actually sampled from a track called Beach House - Silver Soul:Sechah wrote:Does anyone know how to get something like the synth in the intro of this song?: (It's in the whole song but alone in the intro)
Is it some sort of backwards violin put through a granulizer or something? I have now where to start haha thanks in advance.
sounds like a mixture of sounds that's just been slowed down and pitched in the Lamar song.
Re: Flux Pavilion bells?
What outbound said. It's definitely a cowbell.

Knowing the timbre of real instruments should be a prerequisite for producers. But thems cowbells sound reallll compressed tbf

How to re-create this bass sound?
I'm trying to make this deep, textured bass sound used in a lot of garage and D'n'B. I'm not sure how to describe it so here's some examples
Comes in here at about 1:57
About 2:36 here
And about 2:25 here
If anyone could tell me how to make something similar to that that'd be awesome. I'm pretty new to production by the way.

Detuned saws.
2 keyboards 1 computer

Re: How to re-create this bass sound?
Low pass filter on a reese bass (made with detuned saw waves, as above).

How do I make this kind of bass?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybcUeqhqlCk
Savant - 8-bit Lightsaber
At 1:07 there is this heavy, hollow, metallic wobble which sounds great.
So, if I wanted to create bass like this, could anyone point me in the right direction on what to do?
I use Massive for basses.
Merry Christmas, and thanks for any feedback you leave

Re: How to re-create this bass sound?
reason has a sound like this in a combinator patch. If you don't have reason the guys above me know what they're talking about
Re: Flux Pavilion bells?
mate you need to get yourself a TR-808 drum machine made by roland, becuase it comes with that exact cowbell sample built in.
