Holy! I did NOT know Hydra Head was calling it quits. That's a big part of my teens dying right there.

Any more ridiculously hench and distorted techno shit?
I remember gen posted something like that many many pages back i can't find it now.
In it was like unchuckkkunchukkkchukkchukkchukk and was glorious.
By the way this Cloaks stuff is soooo fuckin good.
Need more i n this vain plz, like old Ruff stuff taken to the extreme.
Im genuinely excited to have discovered this, am getting bored of tame shit, this is the kind of aesthetic i fell for in the first place.

Yeaah thanks ultraspatial. I looked it up right after my post. Didn't think they'd be in that much trouble, they're a pretty big label.

Dis? Oh god yeah I want more too. [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zlcf7H43QaQ]N-Vitral's other old shit is good too. Rrry dark, but it doesn't hit that straight up techno vibe.

Some old Drop Bass Network shit has that vibe. Can't find any of it on youtube atm though

On the path to righteousness sir, good stuff.

I've said it about 5 times already in here but pretty much everything on 3by3 and Small But Hard is related in some way.

Dead Fader are about the most exciting thing in electronica for me, JK Flesh, Cloaks, C_C, Devilman. Maybe some Mobthrow and Necro Deathmort.

Free album here similar to that particular Cloaks track you liked;

I'll stop repeating the content of this post now.

^ mhmm yes that, it's surprisingly fresh to me, i mean i imagined someone made it but never actually heard it.

Didn't really like the other old track, bit too corny for me tbh.

And definitely gonna have to check out the stuff you've recommended Wubstep!

Been really inspired by the last few pages though, thanks!!

btw this is idontreallygiveashit and im still on the lookout for some new sick glitch stuff!

Officially the best line-up ever, official. On the end of the world, official.

New Igorrr

Don't really know what this is, just found it;

"Massive distort bass dub grooves collide with stone solid foundation beats and mad scientist keyboard concoctions, underscored by angular dub techniques, turntable FX, and outer science sounds. A cold, refreshing groove session not unlike the city it was created in – not be missed!"

JK Broadrick was involved too, no surprise.

Yeah, but they're pretty niche. I mean, Jesu is probably the biggest name there, and maybe Pelican. Most of those bands are pretty much unknown outside of hardcore & metal. But even then, HH's earlier stuff (like Cave In, Coalesce or Botch) was too weird for hardcore and too hardcore for metal.

Sunn O))), Khanate, Neurosis, Melvins, Harvey Milk, Oxbow, Torche, Kayo Dot, Xasthur?

For years, it was either them, Southern Lord or Profound Lore....

Neurosis did like one EP on HH. Melvins one album and that Isis split. And I think Sunn O))) only did those demo reissues.
And the other bands you mentioned are in no way big. And least not big enough to save the label.
Imo HH need some "classic albums", which sadly they don't. There's loads of great music, but it's not stuff "you need to have if you're into metal or hardcore". The closest thing to that would probably be the first Dillinger Escape Plan album.

You mean TDEP's self titled? That was on some small no-name label and now Earache. Calculating Infinity was on Relapse. And that's a classic.

Sunn did 'Void' on Hydra Head.

Forgot about the s/t. I meant Calculating Infinity; vinyl was released on HH.

thought this would fit here pretty well, even if you don't like the so-called "gabber" stuff, pretty impressive tune and definitely essential in my opinion, especially looking at the time this was made.
