MIDI keyboard not working in windows 8??

I decided to hook up my Samson carbon 49 keyboard today up to my new windows 8 desktop. The automatic driver thing detected it properly and installed it, but now it won't show up in FL Studio, massive, ect. It's urgent that this problem can be fixed otherwise I can't use any more MIDI devices :x Anyway to fix this? Thanks in advance.
What has thou done to thy project file?

are you sure you clicked enable in FL? is it popping up on the list in FL? my mpk49 worked fine with w8.
