Kind of goes against this whole thread, but I'm doing a last minute review of the night for the next issue of ATM magazine and I really need a picture to go with the article.
Does anyone have any pics or know of anyone who might have been allowed to take photos in an official 'press' capacity?
Please PM me if you do.
Thanks a lot.
Ben

What planet are you on? No-one has the "right" to act like a cock. The old 70's Rock band model of lorded stage-gods and their adoring fans isn't something I can support or simply accept and put up with. Any hint of that kind or stupidness being introduced shouldn't be tolerated.

Is that Blackdown or Ammunition speaking? Either way it's the most pretentious thing I've heard said in relation to dubstep in a long time.
That was me paraphrasing Ammo. Perhaps you'd can to go and find out the answers to questions dubstep forum people really want next time...

Either film it and release a DVD OR let people take pics/film themselves or even better STFU, either way it doesn't matter cos you can't police a packed club.

no one's 'acting like a cock'. FWD/Rinse asked politely and apologised for the lateness. I don't think it's 'stupidness' either. The reason surfaced in the end and it's fair enough. As long as it doesn't happen all the time...

To be honest I have been reading this thread since it was started and wasnt too sure whether to post my view but I gotta back Rinse and FWD up here because half of you guys are going off on a tangent, especially those who didnt attend and still gettin all hyped up about it.

If FWD or Rinse or who ever asked people not to take camera's, Im sure they wouldnt just say for the sake of saying so.

I know the bouncers were a bit leaniant on the smoking ban, now with a club as large as The End a few pics could probably get them into quite a bit of trouble, right?.

They probably worked their tits off to pull off such a rave, everything went pretty smooth and was just pure vibes. Too much goin on to even be taking photos, so its just a case of respecting their wishes innit - I know full well that if they wanted to they could of bumped the price up by a couple of quid and no one would have even battered an eyelid but they ask for everyone not to take cameras and you guys make it as if the whole world is about to end.

It would of been nice though if someone was hired by Rinse or FWD to take some proper, high quality decent snaps so we can look back on it when dubstep is known as pop music and Benga vs Coki - Night is being played on Capital FM - not random people with a £29.99 camera from Tesco's who will just post them on their blog for their friends to look at.

That's it though innit. Vibeless pro photos of DJs, when what people really want is snaps taken of their mates with their £29.99 cameras so they can look back and remember their evening, not someone elses.

It's not about that though, as it says on blackdowns blog, it was to prevent heads clammering round the DJ booth taking photos... although everyone was doing that on their phone anyway.

But no one was hired to take any photos anyway so I dont see what your tryin to get at.

Document their night, fair do's - but if they really cared about taking photos then they should of just headed off to fabric with their other trendy mates and popped a few pills.

What? So because someone likes taking photos that means they don't like dubstep? It makes them trendy? Where's that coming from? I don't understand. people love dubstep and they want to remember their best nights - why else would there be a 10 page thread about it?

Threads going in a weird direction.

If they respected it that much then they would follow someones plea, especially when its comming from the event organisers themselves.

No need for people to get angry about it and still turning up. People goin on about it as if its time to start a boycott or something...

I bet when people were inside they didnt even think twice about taking photos - I know for a fact I didnt and I am always taking photos at every event I go to for the website.

there's been an over-reaction but people have a right to be a bit annoyed if they've travelled hundreds of miles and really wanted to take photos of an important event, especially as Ammo's reasons were never made clear, and still have only been paraphrased on a blog by someone else :)

Well to be honest, it was only on Friday that it happened - I didnt get home till 8:30am and I doubt Sara or G ducked out till about 6:30-7am arriving home at 8am+

Im sure you guys will get your explanation in all due time. However, I think blackdown's excuse is more than valid.

I don't even have a camera, so it doesn't bother me that much.. just sticking up for people being called haters or whatever just for having a strong opinion - rubs me up the wrong way
