GLASGOW--OSCILLATE::GRAVIOUS/MONOCHROME/ISODYNE AUG 24TH

Post by daggus » Mon Jul 16, 2007 4:45 pm

We're invading the ivy again to rattle some rib-cages! With Gravious fresh from dubcamp he'll be playin a live set packed full of stompers.

Monochrome aka Tom Churchill. Despite runnin two techno labels Headspace and Emoticon Tom finds the time to make dubstep. He's played out as Monochrome this year at Triptych, Kinky Afro & Noise Pollution. His techno background inflitrates the dubstep sound well wicked beats an vast production perfect for a skank

Also on the bill Isodyne. When not runnin his own label AVXR Records he's had releases on Kompakt digital recently. He'll be droppin a dubby glitchy electronic set sounding somewhere between monolake and rthymn & sound.

Here's what mixmag had to say about his recent release

".... the gentle hisses and pops over smooth sub-bass, perfected by pole and rythym and sound - but Edinburgh's Avionix crew (now AVXR) manage to do it with real personality on this follow up to their 'Dub before Dishonour' EP.... delicately crunchy noises and spacey dub from Isodyne."

Haven't had a good bass fix in ages, so I'm making sure I get along to this one. Hope the Oscillate nights become a long term regular thing.

Gutted Paolo you must clock some amount of miles in search of dubstep. i'd never pay my council tax if it wasnae included in my rent.
