i would never post "negative" feedback even if i hate a tune. i dunno i think you can deliver bad feedback in a nice way and the person still gets it. i mean i made lots of shitty tunes and i posted here and you can read between the lines what the person thinks. even the worst tune took effort and time, so i think people should honor that part, even if they dont like the music at all.

and thats because youre fake. you only want to say nice things so ppl like you and comment on your track.

Why should someone honor crappy worksmanship? thats the most stupid thing ive heard in a long time. No you should be honest and tell someone their song stinks like shit when it does, not be fake so they comment on your tune and kiss your ass back.

ahah omg.. what a fucking baby. Yes the song does suck, and the only good thing about it is he mimicked the very common robotic sound. You dont get it. Your problem is that all you do is tell people how much their tracks suck, but don't give them any advice or tips on how to make it better. You just put people down and say how much you dont like it.

In terms of the topic, I agree with the posters above - whenever I give feedback I never go all out negative, I try to be as constructive as possible; so say the persons drums are shit I'll recommend some tips or tricks to improve them, rather than just saying "mate thats shit, don't like it". It's also a good idea to ignore you preferences of genre - it doesn't matter wheter you like the track, you can still comment on the quality of the production.

The best way to give feedback is subjectively, rather than objectively - don't just list off problems you can hear like "drums are shit", "bass is muddy", "don't like the synths" etc - give opinions on why you think this is, whether you like/dislike it and how you would rectify any problems.

Same goes for overly positive feedback tbh, don't just list off things like "mate dat snare is siiiiiick" - try and think of something you'd do to the track to make it even better.

It fits right in line with the whole self esteem bullshit psychology came out with long ago. If you goto a good music school, your instructor is not gonna be like "oh well you played a FEW notes right congrats!!" no, they are gonna be like, get the fuck out and practice and come back when you have something worthy. And thats why the ppl that graduate there are actually good, not shitty musicians with fragile egos.

Pretty sure you just missed most of the ideas in my post... yes you can be negative like I said - which is best done constructively with decent reasons behind the negativity, but you don't have to be a tnuc about it
