Shit didn't mean to start a LOL DATS NOT GLITCH HOP shitstorm. I was just sort of surprised by all these glitch hop questions lately cuz that was more of a 2000 - 2005 thing and it seems to have died. And yeah I JUST found out that what everyone's talking about is just... brostep in 110. It used to be about Telefon Tel Aviv, edIT, The Flashbulb, Machinedrum, Prefuse73, Gescom, Richard Devine....

Tbf I get where you're coming from I don't really understand why this new stuff (most of which on Beatport sounds like crappy KOAN imitations) got classed as glitch hop... there are good producers making good 90-110bpm "electro" but theres also so much shit.

Mr Bill's videos might be of help;

ADSR Mr Bill - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fOKsdBZlJo (interview re; a track breakdown)
Mr. Bill - Ableton Tutorial 1 : Delay Time Tricks - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWvaxzI1vG4
Mr. Bill - Ableton Tutorial 2 : Making complex drumbeats using arpeggiators - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGHzuq1dbUY

There are a whole series of the Ableton tutorials that whilst might not be specific to your DAW, still list some good principles for glitch style tricks.

I don't really do glitch hop but I like glitch processes. Basically.... embrace artifacts. Mess around... I dunno. He he he.
