How to do that though? The "Make A Sound" threads are rarely off the front page, and the Search function is always there to see if the question has been asked before...but still regurgitation threads crop up because new users are lazy and want some kind of spoon feeding.

Also...new account for any reason in particular?
Yea, it was time for a name change. It just took me awhile. I've gone a completely different direction with my production so I felt it necessary to change. I made the account awhile ago I just never bothered to use it. But my laptop automatically logged me into it so I just left it.

As for directing them, is it possible to make certain threads popup on a page before beginning the new thread? That might do something.

I know a lot of people are lazy and do want to be spoon fed. Honestly a lot of times it's easy to tell who those people are just by the thread. But there are people that are so new to it that most of those threads will end up going way over their heads. Sometimes those people think it could be explained simpler and so they start their own thread. Not realizing that there really isn't such a thing as "simpler".

To be honest maybe that's something people need to be directed to before posting new threads. People need to realize that before they can imitate they have to at least have some basic understanding of what they are doing. And by basic I mean knowing more than just what happens when you put an lfo on a lowpass filter.

I like that feauture that a few forums have where as you type a "Subject" for your new post it autopopulates a list of similar topics based on keywords... but that would require the admin sorting out a mod.
