HEELP ! :o( (Midi keyboard trouble)
Been searching google for hours with no luck. I basically just purchase an Akai Max49 Midi keyboard and am having hell trying to get it to work, Any help woild be amazing!!!
The computer recognises it as Akai max49 and the drivers are all installed, and reason recognises it when I dd it as a device, the only problem is its just not working. When I press the buttons nothing happens whatsoever! I have a feeling the output midi is fine as when I click the keyboards buttons in the software that came with it the lights light up on the keyboard, but when I press keys (which I assume is the input) nothing happens. Anyone else had trouble like this? I'd appreciate help so much, been excited waiting for this keyboard for ages and not it wont even work :/

It's USB? Also, what DAW?

He said he was using it in Reason and yes that model is USB. Not sure what his problem is though. I'm not familiar with reason but in ableton you have to have a specific instrument or synth selected that the MIDI notes trigger. You should see if you have any luck getting it to work while playing it on a standalone synth. Make sure you have MIDI in and out clicked on. Do you have other MIDI keyboards or launchpads that currently work with your setup?fragments wrote:It's USB? Also, what DAW?

^I swear I read the post three times checking for a DAW and didn't catch that. Not trying to be thickheaded, but failed. Regardless you've been more helpful than I was. I'm not a Reason user either, but as Official said...def. check up on both the MIDI I/O settings. Also, when I have MIDI trouble I always go to my DAW manual + device manual. Dunno if you've tried that yet, but it usually sorts my issues...next stop would be the user forum for my DAW and the device.OfficialDAPT wrote:He said he was using it in Reason and yes that model is USB. ^This cat was having issues with that same controller and Reason and looks like he got it sorted.
