mixing help!

Post by untouched » Wed Jan 09, 2013 6:11 pm

ok so i've spent a while now making this new tune

Soundcloud

i haven't started the mix down process yet, and i was wondering what do i have to do to make it sound professional ? is this something that can be achieved with mixing and mastering alone ? or are the faults in the core like the quality of the basses , atmosphere e.c.t ....... anyway i would really appreciate any tips on how to get my sounds sounding better so that i can finally produce something im proud of :)

thanks for your time guys !
peace

EQ, compression, maximizer. Maybe mess with the stereo shaping. That's all. It's pretty simple.

Here's a good article on EQ. They also have an article on compression.
