-- About the Artists --

* OTT & THE ALL-SEEING I *

Ott & The All-Seeing I is a live four piece band performing material from ‘Blumenkraft’, ‘Skylon’, ‘Mir’, and new unreleased songs. Featuring Ott (electronics), Naked Nick (vocals, guitar, synths, and percussion), Chris Barker (bass), and Matt White (drums), the band captures all the intricate glory of Ott’s electronic sets, but augments them with a raw power and spontaneity which propels the songs to another level.

* KILOWATTS *

Jamie Watts, aka Kilowatts, grew up in the midwest playing piano relentlessly. His 2012 solo album ‘Acceptitude’ is described by To Eleven as “symphonic… with the sonic development and richness—the experimentalism even—of the classical composers.” The music beckons the expression of divinity, with reverence, inside his careful and precise compositions.  There, inside each song, lies a pristine seed that germinates and grows into veritable jungles of sound with hidden mathematical complexity.  Shocking, to say the least.  Whether experienced in headphones or on turbo sound systems, the music of KiloWatts is powerful and persistent.  Close your eyes, open the theater of your mind, and watch the story unfold.

* AKARA (Exclusive DJ Set) *

Created by Joshua Penman, a conservatory-trained classical composer turned electronic producer, Akara's mystical dance-floow symphonies are songs of luminous extra-dimensional beings, sung across the veil of reality. Deeply influenced by psychedelic ambient music and the global bass phenomenon, Akara is a new kind of composed electronic music: elegant and filigreed, immersive and otherworldly. It is intricately scored for a live ensemble of up to eleven musicians and the haunting female vocals of Femke Weidema, and fuses an enormous number of musical influences with a generous helping of bass. The word "Akara" comes from the Indonesian words "akar", meaning root or vine, and "acara", meaning ritual or performance. Akara is a mystical, ritual music, the songs of luminous extra-dimensional beings with melodies and words at once new and familiar, a strange and beautiful dream, a dance-floor journey into another world.
