I know the feeling, 'cept mine doesn't even want kids. We run a geriatric cat farm, it's our life's work. BTW, male rape victims with female attackers are a real and often misunderstood percentage of the sex crimes population. Stay strong brother ;plloydy wrote:fragments wrote:lloydy wrote:Bed time at the moment is toooooo much for me as the mrs wants another kid.I feel violated!!!

office hardware heads, I need a brand and model suggestions for a stage case for a 8u mixer, a 1u interface and a 1u master channel. I decided to pull a Goth Trad in a february gig but all the cases I find that size are huge coffin/chest like ones. I have plenty of space in the booth, but I need a tabletop solution. Gear is soundcraft efx 12, presonus firestudio project and a presonus studio channel, plus a macbook, a kp3 and cables.

Whatever time I get off work. It's never the same time now a days. Getting off of work is like waiting for that final bell to ring back when I was in school.Of course it's not as exciting cause now I have responsibilities I have to deal with.atlascesar wrote:what is everybodys favorite time? i'll start. lunchtime with coffee

We have all really old cats...the youngest is like 14 I think. The oldest *was* 18 and we were giving her an IV every night for a while until we put her down. So now we joke about running an old folks home for cats. I've a terrible habit of inserting inside jokes from "my real life" into forum posts...like people will get themlloydy wrote:I'm intrigued, explain?fragments wrote: We run a geriatric cat farm, it's our life's work.

Though the proper response to this would to have been to take you all on a ride about my cat farm, I suppose.

I would have definitely enjoyed a good story.

Once upon a time, there lived a couple who loved very old cats. The very old cat required nightly medical attention and smelled bad because she had kidney failure and what not. Also, the black cat liked to eat plastic bags and then barf them up, while the orange ate the house plants and barfed them up. Did I mention the black one had a serious cat nip problem and tweaks out every night around 10pm? Oh yea, he hallucinates and shit...then tears ass around the house. Also, the black cat waits while you clean the cat box and right when you are finished he cooks up an atomic poo and lets loose on the clean box, so now we trick him and kinda clean the box...let him bomb it...then continue.
The End
The End

Figured, but you never know. You'd be amazed by how many people miss this seemingly fundamental concept. Kids in their teens who'd never even touch a joint and then sit and listen to psytrance, lol. So weird.wub wrote:Fully get what you're sayingMaxxan wrote:Not to shoot you down or anything, sure you could make dubstep using elements from old psychedelic rock/funk/whatever, but it just wouldn't be 'psychedelic' unless you've experienced that kind of music while tripping. Your whole perception of music changes dramatically.
Though that's not to say that once the mindset is in place, that the above techniques wouldn't make more sense.
Anyway, yeah, once you've been there it's definately easier to go back. And most music is actually pretty mindblowing, I've never been much for psytrance and the likes though. I prefer post-rock, but you gotta be careful with that. Really emotional stuff.
I once experienced my own death in a car crash to this song. Hands down the most beautiful experience of my life.

Indeed I did. They're my dad's favorite band, so I grew up hearing that stuff. The Dead did a lot of stuff that wasn't psychedelic as well.wub wrote:Yeah, they're quite interchangeable. The Doors/Hendrix would be psychedelic rock, Grateful Dead would be psychedelic, Deep Purple/Floyd would be prog...but there is a lot of overlap.
(Didn't you have a Grateful Dead bear as your avatar recently?)
I don't do any of that stuff but one of my favorite genres is stoner metal.
I guess I'd have to call my music psuedo-psychedelic.
