Post by brandonstastny » Fri Jan 11, 2013 4:24 am

Hey guys, been browsing the forums here for a few months now learning as much as possible. Here is my first track out of Albeton. (Previous Logic user) Would love some feedback on any aspect!

Too much mid range and I'm not feeling the bass too much drowned in there, which would be pretty discouraging when listening to dubstep. It also looks that something is wrong with your compression/limiting because the volume peaks occur at the breakdown, which shouldn't be happening —unless you explicitly want to, obviously— and means you're overcompressing too much during the rest of the tune. Sounds good but it needs to be worked a little in the mixdown imo.

Thank you for the input! Been trying new things in Ozone, will keep all of this in mind for my next one.

Agree with the above, the midrange is kinda taking over the tune and obscuring the other elements.

I started with the warm midrange preset and went from there so that explains that haha
