It's not if you just do it when you get them. Guess it might be long if you're putting them on for the first time, especially with the amount of versions some releases have.

I used to collect vinyl and had just short of 2000,sold them all for 250 quid because i was hard up and the nob resold for a lot more grrrrr.
Best collection i have ever seen was a fella i worked with owned more than 6000 records. He was about late 30's to early 40's and had been collecting electro since the birth of the genre.I have never in my life seen so much vinyl, wall to wall records.

This, checking matrix codes and such to get the right version. Sometimes they don't even have the same versions.

uhh i have over 10k vinyl pieces including full moving shadow (including msx and pizza box), reinforced (including pic discs), and renegade hardware (2 complete sets). Also a bunch of rare speed garage and hip hop records. If I could average $2.50 per vinyl over the entirety of my set I'd be happy. If someone offered $25,000 I'd unload my collection

I'm not currently living near the crypt
but I think I'm down to about 150 records
having conservatively spent $10 000 on vinyl over the years
the cheapest would be Scraping Foetus Off the Wall cos I broke it trying to swat flies with it
and my original 70's firstwave dub-reggae lps are probably most valuable

My music collection is around 1000 vinyls, 60 CD's and 486,54 GB on my computer. My most expensive record is this one:

http://www.discogs.com/Morbid-Death-Exe ... se/2532459

Ltd. 100 copies around the world, probably worth around €400 according to Discogs. I got it from a friend, who obviously didn't know how much it was worth these days.

I'd say my whole collection covers around €3000.

don't hate me, pitty me.

I drove myself insane trying to finish my Trax Records collection of which I still am missing one record.

I've spent far too much money on vinyl and the sad thing is most of it came after I stopped pursuing my personal music ventures. Was just a hobby.

I'm over it at this point. I pay $70 a month to keep them in a climate controlled storage. Its more of a pain than anything.

I have dmz004, 5, 6, 7, 9 if I'm not mistaken. 1 and 2 too I think. I do know I don't have 3 which I really wanted.

Also I don't think my record collection is worth much. Only have about 150 records and not much rare ones.
Might put it all on Discogs once when I have time.

Bwaha Bandulu 1 and Babylon fall 12"s inflation have increased my collections worth to the £1400 mark. Seriously considering selling it all while its overpriced.
