I'm staying put - my two favourite housemates became a couple about 18 months ago and are moving into their own place. Bit of an end of an era... I've lived with the guy for 6 years. :(

Yeah... if anyone wants a room in the sickest flat in W1 for £680/month from 1st Feb HOLLATCHABOI

fecking hell London. About to put a deposit down on a 3 bed in a pretty respectable area of Birmingham and that's £70 more than the mortgage repayments! Big up London wages.

Shaking my fist at London at the moment! Bear in mind, that for 1 room it's £70 more expensive than the mortgage repayments on a 3 bedroom house, the cost of which is gonna be split between two people.

fuk u london, all the dubstep in the world just isn't worth it

living in W1 is a next hype though. I didn't even realise you could live in W1 unless you were homeless or a millionaire
Hope you find a suitable replacement. We found Autobot's mate Martin, our new flatmate on here, worked out amazing but think we got lucky. Where else do you find pro-drug/music/fun people though

I guess it depends on your living priorities, but I find it pretty reasonable for getting to live in the centre of Europe's liveliest capital... none of my housemates own a car or even take public transport to work (well, I take it one way and walk home) which saves hundreds of pounds every month that most of the people I work with have to spend on just getting to work every day (my boss's season ticket is about £200 per month and that's just from Croydon) ... although none of us are paying a mortgage off, it's possible to invest in other things and create your nest egg whilst not having to live in suburbia or the provinces. It'd be nice to own a house, but it's not something I worry about too much.

I expect my native countryboy sensibilities will kick in eventually and I'll end up living in a one-horse town in Somerset though.

Exactly. We don't want someone who's going to look down on us or tut when we're having fun. The other longest standing housemate is a music publicist, so she's not exactly averse to a sniff of marching powder. It's not like we'd stop being us for anyone... but we don't really want to feel awkward in our own home... and we don't want to feel like we're corrupting or scaring the shit out of some poor innocent young girl! One chick came round WITH HER DAD.

If only it'd been the right time for Luke or someone to move! :x

No travel costs is a biggy. Still, best be a fucking good room though!

This is the stumbling block. It's most definitely the smallest room. We had two on offer up til yesterday and EVERYONE wanted the bigger one. Now nobody gets to see the bigger one until they've moved the fuck IN.

Man, if my job was even slightly better paid (or if I didn't spend quite so much cash on weed) i'd have declared an interest

Living with my mum is kinda getting old hahaha

Figured that'd be the case... you would've been perfect. Could've split the weed bill...

The place is like a stones throw from oxford street, like murky said your average jo wouldnt ever dream of living in such a place.
Id be on it so hard if I had a job offer that way. The place is sick.
