Not really but all the rest of you seem to think you know him so why can`t I?

Re: skrillex style synth in Ableton?
It really dosnt matter what 'they' use for their synths...what matters is what works for you. If you like fm synthesis, you don't need fm8 just because 'Skrillex' uses it. Sytrus is just as good. And just cuz DatsiK may use massive, doesn't mean you shouldn't use albino/predator/atlantis/sylenth1/3xosc
Personally, I rarely use synths for my basses, just leads, pads, and some other stuff

OP, use the search if you want to learn how to make distorted bass. it's useful as hell. the thing is, i'll bet anything you'll never be able to make it. you may one day come close, but by then it'll be a moot point. doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't try just for the practice and experience, but don't be disappointed when the youtube and dsf tuts don't quite do it for you. seriously, the best way is just to learn synthesis and effects processing.
i can't remember which forum member it is, but someone has a quote from excision in their signature that says, "If you want to get good stay the hell out of the 'how to make excision and datsik' threads."
so that's advice from the man who made robostep big. listen to him. oh, and he's super nice.

Uno i actually saw a pack for massive which had two folders skriix and datsik.... first time ive ever seen a pack with producers names in it 0o! i winched
Maybe OP should be looking into Fm8 rather then Massive, for that low end layer in the bass sound.
you know now that hes off djing and being populer he hasnt got time for synthesis, op get U-he Ace and lets go on a wonderful discoving journey of Fm Synthesis.... also Zebra has illix possibilities.
Actually, I own most of the Dubstep Presets for Massive. The Presets you speak of are a compilation by the uploader.
Another good Dubstep synth is CA Alchemy with the Dubstep expansion, Dubstep Nation . IT Sub Basses, and Jack Sparrow Deep Dubstep Progressions. I use this alot for really-good FM bass and synths.
Kotakt has some good libraries as well, allowing you to really get a custom sound, such as:
High Rankin Dubstep Tear Up
BHK Special Edition Vol.4 Drum Step
London Elektricity Drum And Bass Vol 6
and Ray.Keith.Original.Drum.And.Bass.Vol.1
to name a few.
I find that for pads, efx and arps, Nexus 2 is by far the best choice for me.
ReFX Vanguard has some good things as well, such as their DHS Signature Soundbank, as well as the Vengeance Factory Soundbank.
I'm finding the more I explore these other synths, Massive just doesn't do it for me anymore, Some of the presets are just, eh..., maybe something else kinda things.
Not a big fan of Sylenth1 though.
