You'll find the accent like "Pugs" here in Southern Maine:

I think MTV is the end-all source for annoying everything.

I also take calls all day, and i think the most annoying accent is that of the speckle-bellyed MORON.

The voice doesnt bother me, as much as the intellect behind it.

i hate girls that talk like they were born a cheerleader. all uppy and airheady. typical valley girl kind of talk. bugs me.

and also old dudes with pretty low voices who tend to talk......like......this....all...........drawn........out.........and.........slow.

fucking BUG me. there should be a child, midle aged and an old person voice for every boy and then one for every girl. some peoples voices just blow.

growing up though i had the "your voice sounds like a sex line girl" or like im always stoned. :|

wtf
That pisses me right off. As does pronouncing "H" as "etch". My old chemistry teacher used to do that, and it made me want to glass him in the neck with a test-tube.

I think the hardest to understand accent I've come across in spoken English is broad-Belfast. I can understand most of them, but one guy I knew just spoke so fast and so impenetrably that I had to make him repeat everything 3-4 times. They drop about 50% of syllables. I just gave up after a while. Aside from anything, I didn't really want to get car-bombed. Norn I-ron.

Also, I feel sorry for any non-Scot who is ever confronted with a broad Doric accent (Aberdeen region). It doesn't even sound like english.

For example:

Doric Man 1: Fit lik, faraboouts er ye ging?
Doric Man 2: Dinna fash yersel um jist ging tae tha fitbha!
Doric Man 1: Ging in yer ganzie ya loon, s'a caul nicht the nicht

Translation:

Doric Man 1: Whats up mate, where are you going?
Doric Man 2: Don't worry, I'm just going to the football match!
Doric Man 1: Wear a jumper then mate, its cold tonight

Used to have to phone those fuckers in my old job. I always had little moments about an hour after speaking to one of them when I'd think "oh, they meant THAT"...

Hopeless

I still get pissed off at people saying "haitch" instead of "aitch". It immediately makes me think that the person I'm chatting to is a fuckwit.

I had some Colombian friends living over here for a while and they like to think they speak spanish better than mexicans because they're further away from the US (they don't like americans, can you guess why?). They speak english really fast with emphasis on all the wrong words and for some reason swear like cockneys (fackin ell mate, etc).
Hmm....
