Whats the most you would pay for a vinyl record?

Post by Dubber_Dub » Fri Feb 01, 2013 7:03 pm

I have seen some classics go in various genres for ridiculous prices like £300.
The bass breathes!

Most likely £70 or so. Couldn't force myself to pay anymore as i could have 10 other records instead.

How much I'd pay really depends on its value, how badly I wanted it and how much spare cash I had.

Probably no more than £40 for most.. apart from the odd DMZ piece.

Getting to the point where I'm running out of space for records so I'm becoming more incline to spend more on records I really want rather than shell out £50-100 a time on a bunch of new records.

I'd generally much rather make do without that super rare record and spend the money on several others instead. 20 would be getting a bit too steep for me for a single 12"

Would probably pay £100 for a nice copy of dmz002..

I've never had a problem parting with cash if something means that much to me.. Dmz is something that changed my life tbh, I've always wanted to have the whole collection and still need the first two and a couple of coki's.
The prices are only gonna get higher so £100 might even be a good investment in years to come.. Whether I'd ever sell them or not would be another matter.

It all depends on how easy money comes to you, and how much you want that record IMO

not more then £ 10 i rather have 10 good records instead of 1 record for £ 100 that i really want
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.

I would spend up to a hundred if the record meant that much to me. The most I've spent is £40 though.

$50/25 quid
and it would probably have to be a double album for that
generally I'm paying $16 to $35 for current releases in record shops here

Probably around €50 euros or so. But it would have to be something really special and I would still need to think about it.

i paid 25 pounds for SUNKLOWUN, don't regret it, but it's about the most i'd spend on a 12" and it's the only time i've done so

on the other side of it, i was offered 40 pounds for my plate of kryptic minds - badman, turned it down

so i don't really know what my records are worth to me

most i've ever paid for a record was £25 and at my current state of affairs money wise i wouldn't go much higher unless i saved the cash and reallyu really wanted it.
if however i was rich then i'd pay whatever i have to pay. otherwise i'd never spend anything like 50 80 or even 100s of pounds on 1 record. just no way.

not really too fussed, if i want the record that much and ive got the cash lying around i figure i may as well buy it. I dont really do too much other than listen to music, play computer games and go out, so better i get a nice bit of plastic than drinking or smoking the money

All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.
