Austin's Bleep Labs—who you may remember as the creator the Dam-Drum—introduced the Bleep Drum this week, a miniature drum machine very similar to its Dâm-Funk-inspired predecessor. The Bleep Drum is set to be available as a $60 DIY kit (owners will have to do their own soldering) or as a completed unit for $85, starting in April.
From there I did some Googling and ended up finding with video of a live interactive noise installation by a guy called Thomas Fang;
Further strides down the rabbit hole brought me into the realm of Texan gonzo journalism and entrenched anti-establishment views via social media. But it's slightly too early in the day to broach that subject, and I don't have the Crackle Of Jumpstart fully flowing yet.
