Suprised there's no new posts to give feedback to, here's something I made today anyways that I'd like feedback on - will return any when more people post. I know the mix sucks, looking for tips/ideas on the structure and content.

mthrfrnk: Nice, feeling it. Melody is sure to set some dance floors on fire. That kick is kicking pretty nice as well. Progression is on point and the little break @ 3:09sounds really smooth! Nothing I can complain about really.

Jayrage: Synth in the intro is dark as hell. Id throw a TINY amount of delay on it though. I LOVE how the riser you used for your drop sounds like a crowd cheering, ive never heard that before and it sounds super sick. 1:34 sounds pretty nice, a nice small break into another drop. I really like it! Keep going with this. Another suggestion is to change your main bass sound a SLIGHT bit after your second drop, copy the track and tweak something minor, I think it would give the song the tiny bit of variation it still needs.

mthrfrnk again :P : First track, so much potential, throw some bass or some wubs or something on that drop and your good to go. Second track: I believe is the same track above.

Knobgoblin: Errrr.. It has ALOT of potential. Clean it up. Its way too muddy. There too much reverb going on. Track needs to breathe a bit. I feel like if it wasnt so muddy it could be realyl great, but start with that mix. And also the feedback noise you have in there.. like that screechy thing, its gotta go.

Here ya go peeps, something new.. trying a dungeon-esque style on this one.

@‪mthrfnk‬

The intro is amazing sounding,really big clean,clear,mixed well with a lovely build.Got some real energy to this.
The drop i knew wasn't going to be my sort of thing but it still sounds really really well made.The kick drum has that thump you would attribute to this style and the synth work is exceptional.
The arrangement is really well thought out and the chord structure is excellent.
Mix wise it is just so fucking clean man,i would go as far as saying probably one of the most professional sounding mixes i've heard on this bored.
Props mate,not a fan of the style but can definitely dig the work you put into it.

@Antman

Intro is weird as fuck but when that sub comes in oh my.Definitely got a dungeon-esque sound to it.I can see the way your stating to bulled the arrangement and can sort of see the direction it is going in.I like it,has a real dark edge to it just don't get caught out making the arrangement to boring like what a lot of dungeon producers fall into the trap of.
Love the percs you bring in near the end and the mix itself is pretty decent.

Right third one from the ep and on the second drop.I feel the first section has enough going on so just want a general feel opf how people are finding it.

Not asking for feedback, just leaving some :)

@lloydy:
Feel like the rimshot could have more snap. Like, just something hitting in the higher freqs more and around 3k I guess. Also, there's 1 of the hat samples that has a lot more high end than the others, might want to bring up the highend on the others/lower it a bit on that. It sounds almost piercing on my headphones, but not too much tho. Like the track overall tho, nice work :)

@antman:
Not a bad track, maybe add some more percussion or something earlier on, feel like it needs a bit more. Not much more that I can think of right now

@mthrfnk:
Sounds kind of empty at the drop, try adding a few more elements. Nice n bouncy tune. Feel like there's a bit too much lower mids in the intro, and that it would sound cleaner with them lowered and some of the higher bits boosted a bit. Maybe it's just me. 2nd drop is madddddddddd. Not feeling the chords fading in. They sound good in the buildup tho. 3rd drop sounds like it could be big, but there's just something that's missing. Try adding a fat fucker of a saw under maybe. Outro is nice n chilled. Feel like most of the song except the 2nd drop could have a some more elements. Nice tune c:

@mthrfnk: intro sounds clean. i think you can prob expand on the "talking" synth in terms of progression throughout the track - or perhaps switch off with a slightly different sound. i really like the break. i want to hear more of that clean synth! and holy shit! i love the outro. starting at the 5:00 mark - damn... love this man.

@antman: sick intro! mad eerie. ah and that sub! lovin the warm harmonics, shit sounds awesome. kinda was hoping for the sub to evolve a little more as the tune progressed... i would maybe eventually add a different sound to respond to the sub as well. percussion sounds on point! atmosphere sounds tight.

@lloydy: oh hell yeah! intro works really well. The flute sounds amazing, melody is rad. percussion sounds incredible, rythym is sick. the only thing i wish was a little more polished is the midrange that first hits at 1:15. awesome job with this tune man. i would love a download on this.

here's a tune i threw together today after cutting up some samples over the weekend.

Different. The snare feels to 'drenched' but overall a pretty good tune! Just add some tweaks to the mix.

That synth is dreamy.. I want to cuddle this track! No seriously though, I like what you got so far.
The vocals are a little out of place to my ear..but with some tweaking that can be fixed.
Also a little repetitive, but once again that can be fixed.

Great tune mate..sounds like you're really brickwalling it on a couple parts..i'd lower the compression a little.
But overall pretty sick tune!

Now here's my WIP of three tracks for the pikachunes compilation 'ism' has put together.
It's real ambient, and i'm kind of lost of what else I can add so it sounds less..drawn out!
Anyway cheers :)

One of my works in progress:
Soundcloud

I will be editing this post to fit in suggestions for others' music.

@lloydy
That sub bass sounds super sexy. The only comment I have is on the arrangement itself, I felt that the different "sections" were awkwardly placed in order... Shorter intro? I have no idea, the track is still sick as hell...

Flywheel Intro has a really funky feel to it, haahah. Like the kind of anticlimatic drop too! The Sub needs to be more present I think, other than that I'd say it's a pretty good start! Definitely feeling the bit at 2.00

Gurnumsbug Definitely sounds dragged out, but thats kind of expected with ambient music so don't feel too bad. I mean, sure you could have made it shorter though. I'd say add some really soft plucks and sweeping pads and things to it to help with the "Drawn out" feeling. Also, you could also try to add really nice and "weak/soft" drums to it.

dougriley Deep vibes from the start, nice. Not sure if it's my headphones, but I'm not hearing much sub to accompany the wobbles. I really am feeling this tune though, where'd you get those samples from?

Had a few-week (not by choice) hiatus from producing. Threw this together in 3 hours. It's a bootleg remix! So yeah, it was a real bitch to remove the original synth and the vocals are a little different sounding eq'd wise. My first "official" attempt at a remix as well. (And it's a bootleg at that)

@Gurnumsbug: I would work more on arranging the sounds, so you have a better structure to work with... Vocals would for sure make this composition pop more, as well as orchestral sounds... I am a huge fan of ambient music my self, so I can respect what you have done here :W:

@Flywheel: I think around 0:23 could use more character, cause just that high pitch saw seems to feel empty... 1:15 could also use some more variation, cause it seems a bit thin, but overall pretty good... 1:58 seemed a lot fuller, so I would work on 1:15 a bit more... :W:

@dotcurrency: The vinyl static always give me chills. I would take the first bar/half of a bar, of the vocals @0:23, and reverse them, to pair with the reverse cymbal, as a rise into it, but lower than the vocals, so it still gives an impact, but not to forceful, cause in my opinion, the cymbal by it self sounds a bit to plain. 1:08 sounded really nice, but I would also try and make 1:16 slam a bit harder, cause it's smooth, but to smooth... May I ask who did the vocals? they are pretty good, very grasping to the listener :3

I haven't posted here in a while, so I'll post a WIP, and see what you guys think... I think the track is coming along nice, my only two concerns are

#1: Mixdown,

and

#2: The main bassline's dynamics/sound it self...

(This track is mastered also...)

@SMOR3S I like how the vox comes up through a filter nice touch, the build up is sick and I like how I can hear the saw saying boom, clean production!

@dotcurrency Nice piano chords on the intro and I like that little record feedback fuzz, amazing vocal work

@dougriley I like this tune it sounds bit and sort of dungeon-esk and I like how you brought the intro in nice and minimalist

@CYRHEN: Awesome for a start! I love the retro 8bit vibe... Could pair up good with some low reesey growls, or some mario coin hits! :3 Also, if you put a dub pluck, riding that bassline, with some low end ambience, this could really sound fat... My biggest advice, is "Layer, Layer, Layer" it seems you have a good, basic arrangement down, so now all you gotta do, is fill in the frequency gaps, where it seems empty... Can't wait to hear more :W:

Update: I changed out the main bassline melody, and reformed my pitch whoops... Do you think the bassline is over compressed, or side chained to hard?, and do you think the bassline is to loud vs. the intro build up? Thanks! :)

you know, it's been killing me now that i'm listening to the track a day or two later... i turned down the low end of the mid range synth to compensate for how bass heavy my monitors are. still, after prob a year and a half - i'm still getting a feel for them.

meeeih, i'm thinkin i might scratch this wip, not really feelin it now that i've gone back to it :lol:
samples are from the Dark Skies movie trailer.

mthrfnk: As lloydy said not my normal cup of tea but very nice! Mixdown is excellent kick coming through nicely, only thing i can really suggest is to maybe change up the melody of the main synth towards the end or as someone else said automate the sound a bit. Other wise brilliant track!

Antman: Nice tune man love that sub just feel that it needs something extra more percussion perhaps, percussion thats already there sounds good though mate! also that chime type noise seems a bit out of place but that might just be me! will be good to hear it when it's finished.

lloydy: Feeling that track man very nice! love the flute, those shakers and nice mix. Only thing i would change would be add a bit more of that nice mid rangey growl towards the end.

Dotcurrency: Chilled track dude love the vocals and the kick. Thing i would change is the snare in the intro, give it a bit of variation perhaps and turn down its volume a bit maybe.

Anyway here's a new one from me a bit different to what i usually do and not too sure what to think of it haa. Got a few things i want to change before i make it public on soundcloud but any suggestions from you guys would be sick!

@Mason

Exceptionally nice track. Love the pads and overall melody. Make an EP already, man
The kick placement sounds pretty weird..would probably work as beatless too
Also the hi-hats could be toned down a little so they dont attack that hard in the beginning
Dont really know how to explain that :corndance:
GOod tune

@Dotcurrency

There is something about this tempo and those female, dirty sounding vocals that grab me..
In other words, I love the tune. Would absolutely love a 320 to play in the house, if you mind
Absolutely have a thing for that vinyl crackle that is played in the background :U:
Near perfect job!

@Cmgoodman1226

Not sure do I like this tune (The rhode home) or love it, its grooovvy as fuck and the drums sound good
Was not expecting that kinda groove with the bongos from the beginning, thought u were going on some raw dirty-as-fuck techno but sounding better than that
Keep up

After listening to these three feel kinda ashamed to post this :6: Here we go tho

@ Craggle: Nice tune. The kick sounds a bit muffled though and muddy. perhaps tighten the bottom end up a bit?

@ jayrage: awesome rhythm with that stuttering bass. the intro seems like it could use some work. needs some more atmosphere and perhaps start off with different or less drums.

@antman: nice vibe man. still seems a bit empty though. try some vinyl crackle or some rain and some more ambience. cool track though.

Here's something I made in a bout a hour. I'm not sure where to go with it though any pointers? its 110 BPM, so I'm thinking about throwing it some plucky basses and perhaps some funky wahhy leads if you know what I mean. Any suggestions? I realize theres not much completed to judge from, but whatever...

Mindy Gledhill
And thanks! I was very specific about the placement of the vinyl noises haha.

johnkimble Thanks! It's actually 128 BPM, just the intro and outro is in half time haha. Anyway, I made a few changes to the track after uploading it (can't be bothered reuploading to SC) But I'll PM you (and anyone else) the 320 version that I changed (A few minor tweaks that made it better)

As far as your tune goes, I like the deep vibes too it. I say bring the tops and kick down a bit and bring in some more subbass lines. This tune has potential to have that kind of Kromestar vibes. I'd also say try having a section in half time
