Mala in Cuba on Saturday. Going with the missus as a valentines night cause I'm working tonight.
Anyone been to one of the Mala in Cuba nights, anyone knows how it goes down?

Assuming it's still the same as the London show last year...Doozle wrote:Mala in Cuba on Saturday. Going with the missus as a valentines night cause I'm working tonight.

Two percussionists, Mala in the middle at the controls and Swindle at a keyboard. They play the album more or less in sequence, difficult to say how much they change it up, but it isn't like 15 minute jam versions or anything; that's not to say it's just the album on a club system though - the live percussion is more fluid and intense than on the album, and it's more intense live than on record. The percussionists are fantastic and they make it feel like a live band performance (piano and keyboards were evenly divided between being played live by Swindle and via Mala's set up, which was a little odd) rather than just the usual sort-of live set. If you like the album, you'll really like the live show - but it probably wouldn't convert anyone who wasn't a fan already.

That sounds good, looking forward it. Would be sick to se swindle, badman on the keyboard. But whether he's reaching Leed I don't knowSufferhead wrote:Assuming it's still the same as the London show last year...Doozle wrote:Mala in Cuba on Saturday.
