Some very good stuff amongst the crap, but all of the above should be in there.

Alberto Balsalm would have to be in there if you can class it as a dance track

Actually no, you cant

Poor choice of prodigy tunes on that list, everybody in the place and break and enter for me

A few off the top of my head that I'd have to put in a Mixmag type top 50:

Jeff Mills, The Bells
Joey Beltram, Energy Flash
Candi Staton, You've Got The Love
Sandy B, You make the world go round
Aeroplane, Caramellas
Alan Braxe and Fred Falke, Intro
Kings of Tomorrow, Finally
Mathew Johnson, Marionette
Sneaker Pimps, Sugar Is Sweeter (Armand Van Helden remix)

.....though my list would have a lot more DnB, Dubstep, Breaks, UKG and Dub Techno than I guess Mixmag would go for (surely they should include at least one token dubstep tune out of 50?).

The list doesnt surprise me in most of its choices..kind of expected this in there tho

:h:

No dubstep or jungle/dnb jus shows the general readership of mixmag, a magazine that gives more coverage to drug surveys than any form of breakbeats.

Maybe its just the nostalgia but i think if i made a top 50 it would mostly be tunes from the 90s

I had a load of stuff in my shortlist from way back when, but had to think about what I would actually listen to if it came down to it.

Just re-reading that I've spotted my (non)deliberate mistake. It's: Sneaker Pimps, Spin spin sugar remix. Sugar is sweeter is his CJ Bolland remix. Sneaky Ali G looking Armand with his sugar based 90's speed garage remixing obsession. Still, both are bangers and better than 'u don't know me'.

Disclosure in an interview with Zed Bias said before they were aware of Zed they only knew of "shit chart garage like sweet like chocolate."

Made me laugh.

:a: ur objectively wrong bro.

Nah, have never got all the love for the Spin Spin Sugar remix, pretty weak speed garage tune IMO.

U don't know me is decent, just recycled house music though. Those two speed garage remixes pretty much kickstarted a subgenre into mainstream. der di der di der der. deerrr der di derrr.
