definitely my fave style within dubstep! suprised to see out of all the tunes listed so far, i play most them regularly..

i find a lot of killawatts stuff blends well with this sound especially that schizophrenic release with ipman.
also the gantz bits that have come out sound dreamy with certain ramamdanman and pangaea tunes

2008-2010 was just as fwd thinking as the start of dubstep IMO, one of the years when originality picked up again, real melting pot, people taking from OUTSIDE of their own genre for influence.

Some of the Hessle stuff, Night Slugs, Apple Pips, etc. during this time is groundbreaking.

Wasn't as much hype around these tunes either which helps appreciating them later.. these are basically the 'fuck I forgot this one' tunes. Love em cause you hear one and can't help but go digging lol.

totally agree with this, and it was a blessing for people like me too who were too young to go dmz or fwd at the time. when this sound came around it was like another wave of talent and progression for the genre.

Yeah this was THE time, I really need to listen to more of that stuff now, its probably my favourite time/style/whatever you wanna call it, so many good tunes! Even though i still love some of the stuff thats coming out now, I dont think I have got the same feeling and vibe off tunes since these.

I remember going to a Hessle night at Fabric probably over a year ago now, and Ben UFO and Pearson Sound went for an extra hour at the end b2b playing all this gear
