university should be free IMO - being up here I'm lucky as I get my fees paid for me by SAAS, the student awards agency scotland, english and welsh folk coming to my university have to pay £9000 a year whilst US and other internationals pay up to £14,000 A YEAR - they seem to think thats a good deal considering how much they pay back at home - yet for that by the time you get to your fourth year you are only getting two to four hours teaching a week! it's a joke tbh...
Re: Uni
SAAS is awesome when it works, every year I have to go to the office at least twice to get something sorted though -.-skwiggo wrote:university should be free IMO - being up here I'm lucky as I get my fees paid for me by SAAS, the student awards agency scotland, english and welsh folk coming to my university have to pay £9000 a year whilst US and other internationals pay up to £14,000 A YEAR - they seem to think thats a good deal considering how much they pay back at home - yet for that by the time you get to your fourth year you are only getting two to four hours teaching a week! it's a joke tbh...

Re: Uni
some (most) of the best latin american unis are free, but other than that, public education is terrible and most of the public system students won't have the capacity to pass the admission tests. the decent private ones are mad expensive so you need to be rich, take a loam / credit progam or get a scholarship and have to struggle to maintain it. Plus most of the unis don't have flats/dorms and aren't full time. Then we are left with subpar unis that aren't even unis by definition take cost about a 100 to 300 dollars a month and have joke worthy admission tests that are basically money treadmills for their owners that keep spitting unprepared professionals into the marketskwiggo wrote:university should be free IMO - being up here I'm lucky as I get my fees paid for me by SAAS, the student awards agency scotland, english and welsh folk coming to my university have to pay £9000 a year whilst US and other internationals pay up to £14,000 A YEAR - they seem to think thats a good deal considering how much they pay back at home - yet for that by the time you get to your fourth year you are only getting two to four hours teaching a week! it's a joke tbh...
