Re: Thoughts on facebook promotion?
sharing your music page and posting links from your personal page is certainly ok. you have to start somewhere and people you know are more likely to forward your stuff, give a listen, give a like, and all that in the beginning.

Re: Thoughts on facebook promotion?
I had mine like that for a while and ended up with like 600 people on my personal page meaning I kept being bombarded with invites to House and Electro nights in Germany... Facebook musician pages are good but personally I didn't like having it linked to my personal one. Too many people I didn't know posting too much crap I didn't want, not just in my feed but on my timeline too. Kinda messy after a while. That said I like things to be neat and organised and in their own little separate areas. I like to keep all the elements of my life in their own little boxes apart from each other. So it may just not have suited me personally, might be right for you all the same.
Re: Thoughts on facebook promotion?
how long have you been producing?
Re: Thoughts on facebook promotion?
What are the chances of your 500 "friends" and relatives really caring about your music and supporting it though? So maybe just try a separate account or something, and spread that outside of facebook?

Re: Thoughts on facebook promotion?
Go after promoters..If they like your tunes they will support you. Find dubstep youtube communities and channels and send the promoters tunes. But your music must be good before you even think about promotion.
