The youtube video broke mah ears...man...

I mean...I dunno...listened to the other demos....I wonder what the catch or gimmick is going to be? The visuals make me think maybe Maschine...but for a soft synth VA? I'd be intrigued by that...

They are so bad at making demo clips that display the beauty of their products... ugh...

But, this sounds nice:

Where does it say that this is a VA synth?

It doesn't. My bad. I was saying the imagery in the vid makes me think maybe it'll be a software/controller combo like Maschine. The VA part was straight outa my ass :dunce:

Haha I was just about to post asking if anyone knew anything else about this. Heard a couple cool sounds. Definitely interested to hear more information to as what this is gonna be exactly.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was a va synth honestly. The sounds they decided to make seem to be focusing on the filter, which is what everyones complaint was with massive. I can definitely see this being a va synth, and if so.. that's a disappointment to me.

Theres a large "M" half way through the promo vid.... my guess = Massive on stereoids with new revamped interface/backend/filters etc.

I'm not so sure about that.. take a look at 0:18 in the promo video. See the basic analog waveforms, reminds you of the minimoog any bit? And all the analog knobs and stuff throughout the video? I think NI is about to release their own minimoog clone.

Actually, I take it back. I think it's more likely the M stands for "Modular". None of the sounds they've released sound like the minimoog.

Massive 2 would be a huge disappointment unless it just sounded damn good. Modular might be interesting, but honestly what the heck are they going to do modular wise they haven't done between Massive and Absynth? Then there is Reaktor. I'm going to be hard to please. NI really needs to step up to something that has a very different work flow, U-he Diva quality sound, or something along the lines of Maschine. Any combo of those would be good IMO.

That's what i'd like. I don't really care about another VA. Diva is just about the best one going, i have no need for more. We've had Tone2 and Waves make them lately.

Massive 2 would be a nice update for those using it. I'm not sure what it would take for me to get interested in it. The only VST synths on my list are Alchemy and Diva. If you've got 2-3 good, pay VSTs covering different territory I don't see the point in another synth. If you are going to VST hoard go UAD, Waves, Slate Digial etc...

looking forward to what this is. I really like NI products. Razor is one of my favourite softsynths.

Yeah, U-he really knocked one out of the park with Diva. Im sure NI could compete with it, but why?

I havent watched the video, but I hope it is an upgrade for massive, maybe massive 2?? but essentially I hope it allows you to drop in your own waveforms. It'd be awesome if massive had that capability since I'm so used to it already.

There is no hardware component.

Massive is already in its latter versions.

I assume M is the initial of some arbitrary name.

So, how are you positive there is no hardware component?
