160BPM Trap/Mixable Hip-Hop Tunes

Post by Harkat » Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:40 pm

Wagwan Ninjas, I seek your help.

I sometimes DJ my classmates' house parties, mostly playing electro house, easily digestible dubstep, Mercy by Kanye 5 times each set, and so on. Now and then I'll sneak in some techno or garage. I'm pretty bored of the commercial electro house stuff though, and I want to play something cooler that'll still go down OK with everyday-type drunk people.

Last one I did, I played A$AP Rocky's "Goldie" into Higher Ground, which went down really well. Thus, I want more Hip-Hop of that variety, be it trap or not, which is nicely DJ-able, at around 160. Only one I found so far is Three 6 Mafia - Who Run It.

Cheers for any suggestions!

Most of it its between 120-140, I have very little at 160 outside of Juke and Machine drum stuff.
When I get in ill check my Traktor though and see what comes up.

not quite 160 but Gold Casio - Mele always seems to go down alright at the type of parties youre describing.

based on tempo alone and what sounds good and what i would say goes hard, Cosmic bridge.
then do some back research on the artists involved to get more music.
