One of my students gave me scare. He had a bloody nose and it started coming out of one of his eyes. I froze for a couple of seconds but remained calm, put a gentle pressure, and assessed his level of consciousness, if he was dizzy or about to faint. He was alert, calm, and joking, told me it happened before so that gave me comfort. Called mom and went back to class. I was ready to call EMS.

Warm compresses usually work with that..did he have any styes or chalazions? The fact that it happened before is not very reassuring though.

I believe it came up the nasolacrimal duct because it overflowed. It wasn't a lot, a couple drops, but I did refer the parent to see/call his pediatrician. It was a scare though.



Doing one more paper. My bath tub is calling me though. I want to soak in for an hour. Wonder if I can do that and still do my paper later. I might knock out and I really want to do this tonight. I want to see the baby panda and wombat tomorrow; laundry; hiking in the afternoon with my (other) girls, and dinner right after. I should go and soak.
