I think it has a lot of weight to it and I imagine like most tunes in this style of music sound better played out on a system

On the RC1 system it sounded heavy. Definitely made for the dance floor as opposed to head-phone material

To be honest I don't see how any of you enjoyed anything that was in Room 1. How you enjoy a rave where you can't dance? I was headbutted and punched in the face so many times it was completely unenjoyable. I dunno where London people get their attitude, would never find people behaving like that in Bristol.

Luckily Kahn & Cluekid in Room 2 was fucking amazing.

Well there was a group of maybe 8-10 of us from dsf so we just kind of carved out a spot, atleast till DMZ started then we promptly bailed from the surge/crush.

London dubstep nights did not always have that kind of attitude. It's an unfortunate development. Also, DMZ draws people in from around the country, so it's unfair to lay it solely at Londoners' feet. Anyway, the attitude is not apparent at all nights, only certain nights. Pick and choose where to go. DMZ birthdays have been known to draw rowdier crowds since the 5th birthday.

Apart from the 2-3 hour of silly moshing in room one, the rest of the night was pretty decent. Enjoyed pretty much every set - Pinch, Kode9, DMZ, Kahn, Skream, Artwork. Was good to hear Skream play a more "traditional" set, Kode9 Ludicris mix into 9 Samurai was :U: , Kahn's set was utterly amazing. I'm not a huge fan of pull-ups, but pretty much every single one was well pulled.

that was a sick night, system was on point, when they boosted the bass at the start of DMZ's set it was unreal, I could feel my hair moving. Loefah was the best imo, Skream next (until the end but I was tired). Kahn smashed it too. Coki's selection got a bit much as usual though, guys chucking drinks around in the air and stuff. Girl to guy ratio was funny, and most of the girls were scatty, 9/10 elbows to the back were by girls. All round quality night.

that was sicccck !!!
Mala, Loefah, Coki, Skream (the best set imo)...

however i was very surprised, Kode9 cant mix properly !!! even on CDs :o not a single clean transition...
and except 9 samurai his tracklist was shit

and Mala had troubles with Kalawanji (damaged records...?) so he had to stop it quickly, shame thats one of my all-time fave :(

yeah big night, good to see old faces and new ones, shame they had to hold the system back, kept gettin teases of the full power...
Music excellent all night, plenty of variety, old and new... atmosphere was vibesin near the front

Not comparable to days at Mass, but its a completely different entity, still had a wicked time! Caught the end of Commodo, Kode 9 dropping Ludacris > 9 Samurai, Skream was large,. Mystikz and Loe were power, Kahn grimed it up proper.. Artwork started off fiya before we had to leave

More Zed ins LDN again please, although would be nice to have it again in a more intimate environment..

got a vids and pics to put up later

Yeah that was a fucking travesty, started skipping and it was only like 30 secs into the drop. What was the Kromestar tune that Pinch dropped in his set?

In 9s defence he did seem pretty merry when I spoke to him a little after his set.

I'm really hoping all of this gangsta-trap-yank-rap he's playing is just a phase, 'cos to be fair... it's not very good. Some of the footworkish stuff is cool, I like the new Rashad EP and Xingfu Lu and he still always kills it when he draws for the dubstep/grime/funky/garage etc.

Couldn't hack room1 when i got in there, no space to dance. Was in room2 for a fair bit, managed to find some space after a couple of hours in room1 for some of dmz. Fair few idiots there but its something which nothing can really be done about. Wasn't a fan of the venue if im honest, no intimacy at all. System was pretty decent though.
