What a night, stand out set was from Kahn, killed it as regular.

That sound system, when they showed what it could was some of the loudest heaviest I have heard or felt from a sounds system. It was mad there was only the stack of speakers half way through the tunnel and the sound that came from it. utter madness, what little we heard of kalawanji reminded me why it's a classic.

DMZ + Loefah were great as well and I even enjoyed some of Skreams set, though whatever that euro trance tune is (something about his son?) is awful.

As for the crowd, it was like any big rave, just had find the right spots. Close to the stacks were where all the sweaty bros trying to mosh out were. Bit further out were all the moody london rudeboys and then the age range increased significantly where the sweet spot for for the sound was. We were pretty comfy there, at least until my lungs were having trouble under that relentless system. Didn't get attitude from anyone all night, in fact it was pretty good vibes, got chatting to a load of people.

Was all about being to hear and feel the music when me and my girl got back to the hotel room. Man, those local hotels must have been screwing, can understand the system limits!
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

fucking awesome night, same sentiments as everyone else on here really, room 1 was just packed. spent most of my night in room 2, commodo & kahn were both fucking nuts, wish I'd stayed til cluekid but just obviously not hardcore enough! shame that i missed skream but wasn't enjoying being in the main room for DMZ, was getting pushed and shoved and just generally had a better time with some more space :W: decent atmosphere as well, met plenty of sound people and wasn't really any of the aggy dickheads i was expecting so a definite winner in my book! more of that please!

blinding night..stayed in room 1 mostly.. werent gonna let the odd few doing the shoving and pushing ruin a loefah masterclass.. tbf, i enjoyed every set, feel they couldnt pushed the bass more often, that rc1 system had the sweetest bass ive heard, and the clarity was superb.. venue wasnt amazing imo, could definately find somewhere better in london..

the only thing missing was the intimacy of mass and obviously that magic vibe that a dmz at mass had.. dont think that can be replaced again tho.

personal highlight was loefah letting mud roll into the second drop and then dropping ruffage.

keeping my fingers crossed for a dmz return, best night i had in london in over 4 years

dont get all the bitching about couldnt hack room 1 and shit. Fuck me if your in a bad spot just fucking move. Some people man just blatent pussies.

When we went dmz 6th my mates who had i'd met from London were like "shit its well packed lets just jam at the back theres no space" fuck that. Push past a few people.. its a gig.. found myself and my 8 mates a sweet spot front and centre where we jammed all night. Dont let petty shit like that spoil your night ffs.

But like what did you expect it to be when its DMZ's birthday and the main room is ram-o for their set..

Fair enough, but you can have rammed like System and still have elbow room over rammed like DMZ where you have random people breathing down your neck and you cant even raise your arms
When DMZ played it was the only time it was "bad" though with the constant flow of dickhead girls slamming their way to the front then back again. Even Glastonbury was easier to navigate than that place!

Gutted i missed this. Am I right in thinking it was at the same venue where the Outlook Launch party was last year when they had 3 rooms? Cos i thought that was a nice venue. Plenty of room to skank around from what i recall

(first post in a loooong time)

I was having a wicked time until...

...my wallet got stolen. Ball ache.

More importantly I lost my scarf which was knitted for me by my girlfriend :(

SIGNIFICANT REWARD for anyone who can link me back up with it (I've emailed LWE but don't expect to hear back).

PM me if you have it.... (long shot++)

I only really remember Kode 9 which was wicked, too crowded though obviously, RC1 is sick though makes a change as heavy sound seems to elude most venues these days.

We was there dead early too, ran out of stuff to do to kill time and was walking around the area but still ended up at front of the queue. Heard it got quite long though?

vibe wasnt quite on the same level as 'system' but thats probably not a fair comparison. Skream was sick, there was space to dance as alot of people left after dmz and everyone was smiling when the classic lemon riff kicked off the set, artwork was wicked as well.

unexpected highlight was probably kahn playing 3klane

Would love to go to a more low key dmz, with a more intimate vibe, but still a great night (despite being severely ill!)

Yeah, I'm never usually one to let that kind of thing bother me, I always just dance til I have space. But you literally couldn't dance, couldn't even move. Just makes it difficult to enjoy, you know? Cant get into the zone if you can't dance. Was a sick night still.

I got there early (half 9) so I got in pretty early (half 10).

Paleman - decent enough set, I'm sure the empty room enjoyed it.
Commodo - really impressive actually, he got the crowd really worked up and into it, in a way that's pretty unusual for someone in a pre-midnight slot.
Kode9 - a bit surprised (maybe disappointed) that he was one of the special guests given all the hype surrounding it, but no matter, easily the best set I've seen from him.
DMZ - of course the big highlight. Having only seen them individually before this was pretty special for me.
Klose One - this was the point tiredness hit and I had to fight through it during this set. It was an okay set but not good enough to give me any kind of rush of energy. I regret not staying in Room 1 for Skream, saw a similar set at FWD 10th and that was amazing.
Cluekid - generally really good, but his mixing seemed a bit off. At one point he cut abruptly from one tune to another and I could see people in the crowd cringe.
Chef - good set, nice one to end on.

I liked the venue, a bit cold but other than that it was great; the bars never seemed to be full, there was food available (I wish that was standard for at least bigger clubs) and it was easy to get about. I also thought the crowd was surprisingly decent, very few pushy dickheads for a high-profile event with such a large capacity.
