If he doesnt wanna cold turkey bad he can ween off 2 pillsto 1 to half to quarter and so on but there will be some discomfort if he's been using long. Like others have said he might need to find a new career as being surrounded by what you used to be addicted to is likely bring on a relapse.

lost 2 friends to opiate overdoses. out of the friends who are still alive who were addicted to pills, they were three of my best friends in highschool, all now around 5 years sober, minus caffeine and nicotine. if you need to quit, i see complete sobriety as the only solution.. if not, you end up relapsing... thats what they have told me. they cant even drink a beer because all it makes them want is heroin. good luck to your friend.

yeah they are everywhere here. if i wasnt so sensitive to opiates i might have gotten addicted to them myself at some point, who knows... even small doses of percocet makes me want to throw up.
