Macromedia flash 8, audio hosting?

Post by skavoovie_blind9 » Sat Sep 01, 2007 5:05 pm

Ez all

I'm currently making a site for a uni project in Macromedia flash 8. I need to have at least 4 audio aplications set up so that when play is pressed for each track, it plays the track, (obviously lol  )

I'm not sure where I can host my tracks so I can do this.

I need to host them somewhere and then put the link in my code so it plays through my site, but I'm having no luck with finding a site where I can host :x

If any1 can help me that'de be more than appreciated!!

Charse

Doubt any freebie mp3 sites are gonna let you do that. Think you'll need a proper host for that. I can vouch for these guys:

Surely the uni would pay the fees?

Aun,

I have a uni web address already with space to host my actual site on.

Is that site you gave me basically paying for that space on the net?

Sorry I'm a bit shit with stuff like this lol.

Basically, say when you go onto an online record store and you click on a tune you wanna listen to, it usually comes up with a quick time player(I think its that anyway) with just a play bar alone on the page and plays the tune.

Where would the record shop host these audio clips, because thats the sort of site I need.

It's got 2 be in tommorow aswell and this is all I need to do.

Last minute job innit

Cheers

If you have webspace on your uni server, then host your tunes in a folder on there.

If, for example you have a folder named "skavooie" and inside that you have your html index page, one folder with your .SWF, one folder with your images and then another with your music. You need to point the swf to find the music in different folders.

search about the adobe site for tutorials, i'm sure there'll be something. good luck
