Man goes on a killing spree against everything that is 'wrong' with America (reality TV brats, religious zealots, right wing talk show hosts, people who talk on their phone during films etc). Satirical comedy, very violent...some of the parody TV slots they have running throughout cut very close to the bone against the Republican party/Westboro Baptist Church.

Written and directed by guy who played Zed in Police Academy, Bobcat Goldthwait.
Yeah this was fucking amazing, for its over the top hilarity and violence (shotgun baby) and interesting satirical social comment ("It's the same type of freak-show distraction that comes along every time a mighty empire starts collapsing.").
Thanks for the tip on this Wub... just finished, absolutely superb!

Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy - Thought it was great, as with almost all Gary Oldman films. Very mysterious, a bit hard to follow at times but that really just adds to the atmosphere.

Image

The Intouchables - Hilarious at times, moving at times, great all around. I think a little bit of its spark was lost in translation.

Bought Shogun Assassin on blu-ray so watched that last night.

Fucking love this film.
It was also a different cut than the ones that I had perviously seen so that was quite nice.

Watched this last night, it's not as bad as I was expecting it to be.

Also watched Seven which I though was very good, Morgan Freeman is such a don.

It's a three-way tie between this, West Side Story and Rocky Horror for the best musical ever.

Watched God Bless America because people were saying it was good above.. enjoyed it. The first half hour was incredible but then when they were killing people off it just got a bit boring and didn't feel like the plot was getting anywhere, ending was a bit predictable too. Overall a good film.

Was pretty similar to a Black Mirror episode.

Not trying to start an argument here but really really don't understand how you lot could like God Bless America so much, it was probs the worst film I've ever watched the whole way through. It seemed like whoever made it had a good idea and then just made a film without any thought of how to adapt the idea into a decent story. The characters don't actually engage in dialogue, they talk as if they're a walking blog post or something, it just felt as if it was the writer delivering his "oh, i'm so unique" perspective through two paper thin constructs who blather on endlessly about how much better stuff was in the old days (that Alice Cooper scene made me cringe so much) and shoot people (hahahahhaha!).

but yeah glad you guys enjoyed it, just felt the need to rant about that film lol.

Can understand that reaction, especially the Alice Cooper scene (that was the only bit I cringed at)... I like student-play style dialogue generally though, it kind of reminded me quite a bit of of the way Kevin Smith writes... nobody talks like that in real life, but then, nobody shoots their next door neighbour's baby like a clay pigeon in real life either.
