At some point in 2007, a bunch of people realised that they hadn't been laid for the entirety of the four years they'd been listening to dubstep

but disenchanted straights seemed more inclined to turn to techo & brokenbeat than house

But in 2007 there wasn't that much dubstep about even in London, DMZ and small crowd at FWD and a few other occasional nights. It was nothing compared in size to all the house and techno nights that were going on so it's not that suprising that people making house and techno now have got popular. What is suprising is the hype around it like it's something really original and new.
