Well, if he is, I'm going to forget about it, because the overpriced rack extentions are what made me sort of ditch 6.5 a couple months back. When you're on an extremely low budget, rack extensions are typically out of reach.ehbrums1 wrote:are you seriously complaining about it not being able to be cracked

Re: Reason 7
I'm stoked! Finally a reason to upgrade my 3.0
To people not using Reason it looks like it's finally catching up to the rest of the DAW world, but to Reason users this update is HUGE.

But really it still feels like catch up in a lot of ways to the tune of $130 bucks.ninjadog wrote:To people not using Reason it looks like it's finally catching up to the rest of the DAW world, but to Reason users this update is HUGE.
Still will be a good upgrade for the reason users anyways.
Happy to finally get what looks like basic Recycle intergration.

Re: Reason 7
No doubt it's playing catch up. But at least it puts in the ring to contend for real now. Other DAWs still can't compete with Reasons signal flow tho, gotta be the most intuitive and sexy one out there.Efrafa11 wrote:But really it still feels like catch up in a lot of ways to the tune of $130 bucks.ninjadog wrote:To people not using Reason it looks like it's finally catching up to the rest of the DAW world, but to Reason users this update is HUGE.

Re: Reason 7
For the die hard Reason users these improvements seem pretty nice. As a Logic (previously FL) user these and the Ableton changes seem a bit laughable though.

No i wasn't complaining about not being able to crack it, i'm saying that because of this, they'll generally make more money since with the other DAWs, the people who actually buy them is a minority. Where did i complain about not being able to crack it? I bought 6...
As for the cheap rack extension, they're usually things like "CV delayer", "multiband splitters", and other stuff like that. THe stuff people make free vsts for.

Re: Reason 7
idk it still looks no better than #4 to me but what do i know. i wont buy till they add a new synth
Re: Reason 7
Just buy rack extension synths man. They're far superior to all the actual reason ones anyway.
Re: Reason 7
Thor is widely known to be one of the best soft synths around. Same goes for Malstrom when it comes to graintable synths.

Yeah cause Logic frequently has great updatesHuts wrote:For the die hard Reason users these improvements seem pretty nice. As a Logic (previously FL) user these and the Ableton changes seem a bit laughable though.

My point was there's no need. Aside from the audio > midi conversions and what not, everything they're adding was a standard feature years ago lol.AxeD wrote:Thor is widely known to be one of the best soft synths around. Same goes for Malstrom when it comes to graintable synths.

Re: Reason 7
Give me a break, sure thor has a lot of options, but they don't do shit if it doesn't sound properly. The main flawd in thor is the lack of decent detune modes, and the lack of choice of voices for that detuning. The multi osc sounds more like a cloud generator than actual multiple voices. If it were mutliple voices, they could have easily made it stereo so i doubt it is. Which brings us to the next point: lack of stereo. I can make a better supersaw in sylenth tweaking exactly 2 knobs than i can in reason making 27 thor instances.

Re: Reason 7
What's a cloud generator? Is it like a fake unison effect? If so i've noticed a few synths that use this - i don't really like the sound when compared to using a ton of oscillators.RmoniK wrote:Give me a break, sure thor has a lot of options, but they don't do shit if it doesn't sound properly. Well maybe it's just my incompetence then, but the multi oscillators in thor sound like shit to me. Sue me.

Re: Reason 7
Seriously though, i'd like to hear someone make a synth like the one in my signature (which is easily created in sylenth) with reason stock stuff (no RE's), if you succeed, it take back everything.
