I need to rewatch this, great film. Punch-Drunk Love is the next Paul Thomas Anderson film on my list to watch.

Well, I wouldn't call it overrated, but people especially in recent years have begun mentioning it more and more because it was often forgotten so it seemed as though it is getting overrated. I really love Mean Streets, it shows a De Niro I like more than in most of his tough guy roles.

Grim movie, kind of reminded me of August Underground but with an actual plot.

It's not a very good film, I must admit, but for some reason I just absolutely love it. Must've seen it about 5 times already.

I finally sat down to watch The Hobbit this weekend and I must say that I really wasn't that impressed with it. It looked great of course but story wise I thought it lacked greatly.

I have the same feeling about it. I watched it on a whim and it really grabbed my attention, but in the 'I need to go cry in the shower' sort of way.

The story is fairly shit - walk for a bit, fight for a bit, walk for a bit, fight for a bit, say something about the epic journey......

If it wasn't for how great it looked I doubt I could've made it through it all and fuck knows how they're going to drag it for a further 3 films :?

Thinking of watching The Devil's Double tonight, anyone seen it?

Yeah exactly. You could really tell that they're now trying to stretch a tiny book over 3 entire films instead of having 1 massive book for each separate LoTR film. Can't really say that I'm looking forward to the other 2 now tbh.

And about The Devil's Double, yes it's definitely worth watching. Quite an interesting story and very well acted as well.

Never quite lives up to it's potential. Overly quirky for the sake of being quirky.

The old 70s animated one is superior. Peter Jackson's style of dragging everything out excessively is making this suffer, a trilogy just for The Hobbit is way too much, especially considering it was originally a children's novel.

Watched Suspiria over the weekend, they don't make them like this anymore. (Plus it gets a bonus for having Goblin doing the soundtrack)

Yeah, spent most of the time thinking that if it had someone like Ed Norton in the title role, it'd be a shit ton better.
