We launch on April 26th at Take 5 Cafe. We have some special sets lined up, so put it in your diary, like the page and hold tight for more info.

Elephant - Wen / Parris / EFA / 2Donuts / Facta / Ivo

There’s an elephant in the room, and the room is Take 5 Café.

Our main focus is to bring you big tunes all night long - our guys are gonna be spinning straight party music into the early hours with little to no regard for the latest hot tracks; this aint no big room tech house affair.

Capacity is about 100 so being fashionably late will make you feel really stupid when you can’t get in. Our man Cosmic Jake will be on the door and will straight par anyone tryna come with antics – don’t kill the vibe. Whoever dances most like an elephant will get a drink courtesy of the team.

£5 on the door

10 PM - 4 AM

26 / 4 / 13

Take 5 Cafe, Stokes Croft, Bristol

______________________________________________________

WEN
(Keysound Recordings/ South Fork Sound)

Our boy Wen is popping off hard at the moment, getting props from here to America – peep his Commotion EP that dropped recently on Keysound Recordings to see what's what. But yo, Elephant won’t necessarily be where you’ll catch his normal sounds as he’s promised to come with a special ‘party grime’ set and you know that shit’s gonna be raw.

PARRIS
(Soundman Chronicles)

No doubt Parris is big in the scene, the guy lives for music; from working in legendary record shops to launching record labels he keeps it moving - so get ready for a freaky (not to mention exclusive) as hell classic R’n’B / slowjams set. He’s excited as fuck to do something different for us, and so are we.

2Donuts
(Glasgow Underground / Hot ‘N’ Heavy / Piff) (Varme)

aka ∆dmin and Snygg quitting house music for good. These two Bristol heads you might know if you frequent Piff, Varme or anything of that ilk; for us, though, they’re leaving their normal bits at home to come together under the moniker 2Donuts (yeah the partnership is new and yeah it’s a lot). What to expect? Straight ‘Party and Bullshit’ from Hip-Hop’s golden era – it will be tight.

EFA
(In Fine Style/ Analogue/ Pollen)

Another Bristol head in the midst here, and EFA is proactive as hell: he runs three nights himself - how many do you run? For all the garage heads out there we’ve got the sensei right here and he wouldn’t know how to disappoint if you paid him to. For a taster of what to expect, check his interview and mix for us at Deep Rooted Bristol here: http://tinyurl.com/cqsqcrk

FACTA
(Elephant / Piff)

Facta doesn’t know what he will be playing yet, but that’s a good thing – this is Elephant, and he’ll play whatever he wants to.

IVO
(Kilburn/ Bedroom sounds)

The big homie Ivo is back from 6 months in Africa (looking tribal is hell) and itching to get you moving silly. Vibes are gonna be old school and all manner of shapes from your repertoire will be required to keep up with the funk. Straight out of North West London, ain’t nobody fuckin with the team.
