My former roommate just got dumped by his ex-fiancee. Poor guy. Now I know how much he paid for the ring.
He has to get it (in San Jose, California) because it's too risky to send it through the mail. I'm sure that's just an excuse.
I suggested he send an insured self-addressed box and use the ticket to go to NYC instead.

I was told men should get an engagement ring worth 3 months of their salary.
He only paid half a month's. Cheap ass. Just kidding.
One of my girlfriend's reason was that, along with the wedding ring, it will be the only ring she will wear. I fucking doubt that!
I'd rather wear a family heirloom tbh but I have allergy to nickel.
I don't know how to break it down to my future (currently non-existent and maybe suicidal) hubby.
