What's worse is when you have the perfect idea in your head..get to the pc and it all goes out the window..

I really want to do something about it, but at 3am my bed is way to comfy to get out of to try and make a beat. And I don't able the luxury of being able to write or record while in bed (my wife gets pissed if I mess with her sleep).

If only there was a machine to take the ideas directly from your mind and put them in your DAW. Then again, that would take the fun out of producing

All I can say, is that if you've got something to "say", "write it down". I know it's a melody or a drum beat or whatever, get to your DAW and jot it down.

Fuck getting out of bed more than necessary, I just keep a notepad next to the bed to write ideas in so I can get on with sleeping.

Ha yeah, but I'm not big on music theory or notes for that matter, so I can't jot down melodies or progressions without visually inputting it through my DAW.
