Well, i'm out. Fair game to the gentleman with Hotel, you had a sick track :Q: I think i'll be throwing you my vote.

Does anyone happen to have what the final poll results were for the semi?

You mean the totals per track? No.

But I remember that Echo finished with 12 and Hotel with 10. I think :?

After a long fought contest, it came down to a tie, so this month we have joint winners. Congrats to tpc_uk and MilkyThomasfor their submissions, both outstanding tracks that I would consider playing out. Well done lads :Q:

I will be in touch via PM to discuss next months joint sample pack creation...

Awesome! Well done tpc_uk, awesome tune. Glad everyone liked mine as well, got on the competition kinda late so only had a week or so to get a track together and I think I actually uploaded the wrong version, but hey I guess it was good enough! Here is a link to the tune on my soundcloud if you wanna download it or check out my other stuff. :)

Ahh man. Thats cool. I thought echo/milkythomas would take it down 4 sure, cheers to everybody for voting :Q: I'm happy with joint winners.

I might re-name mine 'Hotel' now - I made the whole track thinking it was at 140bpm but it was at 123 - so thats what I called it

I'll try & get some distorted drums/ emu samples into the next samplepack.

Enjoyed the contest; good stuff - thanks to wub & the organisation etc.

I enjoyed checking the tunes (including those that weren't submitted in time).

i made mine entirely in wavosaur and 3 free VSTs on a company laptop. i'd like to see a competition that limits you in that sorta way. single track and no beat grid is tricky but fun

i guess i mean it would be fun to only be able to use a certain selection of freeware and free plugins (fx) and a sample pack for the whole thing. like audacity an TAL stuff

We did TAL in fact - there was a pack of live drum samples graciously provided by a forum member and we used TAL-Elek7ro and the Kjaerhus Classic series for general compression, verb, etc.

I think these two old tunes of mine came from VST competitions here... -q-
