Your favorite record store

Post by Be-1ne » Thu Mar 28, 2013 6:09 am

I know this has been done a bunch of times before but thought a new one for the start of 2013 might be fun.

If you choose option other! could you please post the name of your "other" and give us a link. I'm sure we are all up for looking at new record shops :-D

Chemical all the way.
Surus is quite good, too bad there is a small selection of labels...
Redeye is nice if u missed a release that is sold out, chances are big it's still available on redeye.

Favourite real stores: Amoeba records in San Francisco, Distortion Records in Amsterdam & Space Hall in Berlin!

I don't know if its just me but everytime I order from Surus, the sleeves are always damaged in some way. Never been more than superficial damage but its a bit disappointing when you're getting limited records that dont look as good as they should.

Clone would be my favorite atm: http://www.clone.nl/ It's where I spend most of my money. Redeye would definitely be second though.

This happens to me and it is a tad annoying. Redeye for web orders and Amoeba as a walk in.

blackmarket all the way!
its always a nice place to shop and the staff are all really friendly. plus the amount of exclusives and TPs ive got from there outweighs any of the online shops.

RWDFWD and Norman Records deserve a mention! The amount of times I've gone to buy limited records and they've sold out in all the big ones but Norman still has stock, saved me a lot of money that place has!

RWDFWD support some great labels and often the only place to release certain stuff. I think they're the only UK store that stocks ZamZam releases atm.

Probably a cross between Rough Trade West and Sounds Of The Universe. Redeye for online orders.

Incredible shop. Was in there before a show last week. Online-wise it has to be Redeye for me. Brilliant service and selection.
