my mk2 is like 22 years old i think and my mk5 is about 8 i think and bar a bit of wear and tear, you can't differentiate between the 2 bar the pitch ball bearing.

i imagine you'd drop a cool half dozen sheets on an audiophile one and then some dick leans on it and it's all out of balance and shit.

i hear you, i have a pair of mk2s and a solo technic from the 70's that still rocks on. But there are plenty of great turntables that are solid and sound great at home. No point in breaking the bank simply due to a brand cult though

True dat, but realistically how long is it gunna be before you end up buying stuff you wanna mix? Its so easy to get hooked on buying vinyl, it only takes a few limited pressings you want then it all gets out of hand.

Although most turntables hold value pretty well so go 2nd hand and see how you get on, if you wanna upgrade in the future you can usually get most of your money back on most turntables.

why would a 1210 be more than a 1200?

i prefer my 1200s tbth tbtf

because it's a newer model and black looks loads better then silver. probly more reasons but i am not knowing.

the 1200 and 1210 are identical in every way except color. in the us anyway the 1200 usually sells for a little less than the 1210.

i have 1210 mk5s with no voltage switch and 1200 mk2s with a voltage switch. it depends on which country its being sold in.

I own a pair of 1200's, a single SL-3 and a Vestax Handy Trax

If you simply want to listen to tunes then I'd highly recommend the Vestax Handy Trax. Pretty cheap and does the job.

even if vinyl was dead (which it isn't) timecoded vinyl is still the best way to play digitlal

it's all well and good untill you have to faff around with inputs and then laptop crashes and then having to take a laptop to a club etc etc

cdjs with usb drives is the one IMO TBTH TBF
