Those tiny ones are just pre-arranged lunetta 'modules' but you can make the same ones on perf/stripboard.

Bloke called nathanxl does amazing little sculptures from components without using circuit boards, very clever.

those freeform ones are sweet, he really arranged them nicely too

Yeah I figured as much, cool stuff nevertheless. Those boardless sculptures look great, saw that the link got some video's, unfortunately no audio at work.

Yeah they do actually look pretty neat, I'd still put them on stripboard so I could take it apart/mod it though

easy enough to cobble together your own...

these look fun too;

http://lushprojects.com/

Ive nearly finished my triple bandpass, got it in an old tape deck, even using all the old buttons, LEDs, volume knob etc, going to look sick, just trying to figure out how to use the VU Meters...

Image

Ive remove the cassette part and going ot put a blank panel in for all the knobs. Heres the filter in action;

Boh.

Sick guy, you're a fucking idol :D That filter was in the tape deck though? Sounds phat as fuck!

Do you know how difficult it is to re-use VU meters, or incorporate new ones, to DIY compressors? I can comprehend the possiblity of doing so if you know the parameters of both the VU and the compressor, I just really want to make sure there's something on to show the difference between the wet and dry signals

Working on building a fully functioning dub station..large knob and switch on top left are the mic pre, and all other installed knobs/button/switch are the dub siren (modified atari punk synth), empty holes on left will be on board rebote 2.5 delay (working out some bugs in the mods), then finally some buffers and routing options for sends. There's a link at the bottom to check out the dub siren circuit installed by itself in a different enclosure. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Sick as fuck, what's the mic pre based on? I'm going to do some electron valve stuff (tube, if you're American) for vinyl as well as a mic pre.

Also, why not just put everything as rack modules, or synth module casing, and route it through a mixer? You can play with the routing more that way

Nice paradigm, the filter sounds great! Looking forward to seeing it fully integrated in the tape deck.

Once I get the money, I'm going to build an Oakley modular. I'll try to make it 3 osc if I can with all of the effects that I can manage to fit in. :lol:

I wonder what two ring mods will do on different settings on it... And 2 different filters... I'm intrigued.

Parallel or in series? They'd sound nuts in series, never thought of it, just too crazy for my imagination... really want to try it now :lol:

Very nice.

Need to check out the audio on all these.. :oops:

Finished up the filter, after a minor issue - electrolytic cap in backwards, literally exploded ! Be warned! Luckily i was safe, but it was a hell of a bang!

Need to now finish up the panning part, and alos put it into that box...

Starting to think its a bit big for just a tiny BP filterbank, but then it does look cool.....

Series. 2 ring mods, one waveshaper on light settings, 2 notches sweeping the mids ever so slightly, and and feedback on the lows? Men, I may have just thought up the most monstrous of analog basses. :h:

I actually prefer ring mods to distortion because they don't compress when give you crazy harmonic spectrums, need to make one... I was going to build one with an aerial for guitar purposes so I could make crazy solos fed by white noise!

Sick stuff! Project EX, where'd you get the panel from? I was going to cut my own but it's probably better to at least get a pro to make it. I'll happily drill an effects pedal's box to bits though...

Ta for sharing too, Wub! Have you ever tried your hand at this stuff?

In the UK i highly recommend thebeast;

http://www.thebeast.co.uk/cnc/

He made my filtrex panel, which is great, and also built my x0xb0x...

Cheaper than Schaeffer and UK so lower postage.

Cheers
