I hate to say it, but honestly the Auralex speaker pads I bought were way better than books and I was using the Norton Anthology of English Literature Vols 1 and 2 (really fucking thick books ;P ) Those stands look like they'd still allow for resonance.

How much are they? I got my Auralex pads for like 40 USD

They are about £110 I don't know how much that is in dollars.

Iv read reviews on other sites where they were saying these stands are alot better than those auralex pads :corntard:

What do you make of this video ?

Can't watch a vid ATM I'm afraid. 110 GBP sounds like a huge rip off man. That's over 110 American. Just don't pay that much. Check eBay or watch sales and such.

Is that video by ISO Acoustics? Can you link to the review?

The 3rd one down says something about the auralex pads and these stands sounding better.

Could it be that this guy changed the speaker height and varied his speaker response? I can't imagine hard plastic stands would work better at absorbing sounds than foam. I'd see if someone like Tape OP or SOS reviewed them. 150 seems expensive to me. I have a very hard time believing hard plastic speaker stand s or any speaker stands will change the sound of monitors in the way that guy suggests (someone prove me wrong though, I'd like a pair if they will do that to my monitors!). I'm a little lost on how the stands can make the stereo image better especially.

I recently got the primacoustic speaker isolators and they very noticeably improved the bass response in my room. Super dense foam and a 1/4 steel plate adds a *lot* of mass. I also feel that my imaging also improved a bit, but less dramatic :Q:
