SewDough - Final Boss [Dubstep / 8BIT LOVE!]

Post by SewDough » Mon May 13, 2013 8:47 pm

Hello,

Thanks for reviewing this thread.

After a year of doing the softer side of Dubstep, I've decided to learn how to do hard bass oriented dub.
I've found some wonderful tutorials that explain how to do this in Sytrus, which I didn't mind, but i found that NI Massive and FM8 worked far better.
So, I took those suggestions from Sytrus FM and applied them to FM8 & NI Massive. I'm pretty pleased with the turnout.

This is one of my first ever "hard bass" styled Dubstep, and I'd appreciate your feedback;

Also, just a quick note: I'm new to the concept of "pitch bending", so I may have overused it. Please bear with me, lol.

Like the track and it has a great mixdown and is nicely mastered :3

Would love to see abit more of a structure/direction though
It felt abit like you were trying to put everything you knew into the tune regardless of if it fitted ;p

Great job though,
Look forward to your future work

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't agree with you. I'm still new to the hard bass side of things, so I was indeed taking what I knew currently, and throwing it in, but I do have to say that regardless of a few hiccups, it fit together quite nicely.

Over 9000 plays, wow. Surprised you only have 463 people following you on Soundcloud if your tunes are getting 9k plays in 4 days!
