How come i'm full of inspiration and want to make Music while at work, but when i get home all my inspiration is lost and i cant even be arsed to turn on the computer?

WOW, This feeling is incredible, I'm so happy to know I'm basically related to one of my role models, I recall fondly the times of yesteryear, Jogging in Ladd's Addition in the WInter time, SE PDX. I know this all too well. It may help to make some kind of ritual for yourself before you start making music, like making a cup of tea/getting some snacks and setting everything up. This way, over time, you condition your brain to know that it's time to get creative as soon as you sit down and drink your tea/whatever.
Like any other ritual it can help you go from one mental state to another.



That being said, I still suffer from this problem from time to time, would love to hear other people's advice.

take it even further by making it into a ritual in itself.

i set my music making time period to when i'm most creative and productive during the day, then my ideas just come naturally and usually i have time to test them out.
