What are your opinions on "Riddim" style Tear-Out tunes?

imo brostep is shit music because it's the ones where producers mindlessly select clips from 5 or 6 different patches, pasting them over the same stiff halfstep drums. i.e. Bare and Vaski

there's usually no point in cramming that many patches into a drop. U can often differentiate the tearout as stuff that uses one or two quality synth patches to play an aggressive riff/bassline. There's nothing wrong with aggressive

I kind of like Brostep, when it's good. I first discovered Dubstep in 2006, I usually listened to Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem, but a buddy of mine introduced me to Dubstep like Skream, Benga, guys like that. By 2010, I was getting a bit tired of Dubstep until I discovered Skrillex (I know, I was pretty late to hear about him, and I know he's 'not real dubstep') I liked how different it was, which made me find out about other artists which got me into Electro House, Progressive House, Glitch Hop, etc. I know I'll get a shit ton of hate, but I still kind of like Skrillex, because he knows how to do something different most of the time (no matter how much you want to debate that). In mid -2012 after two years of barely listening to any deep stuff, or even tear-out I discovered the "Riddim" scene, and I started paying attention to tear-out and 'real' Dubstep again.

dude thats cool, I really don't think there's anything wrong With that. Especially since you come from an understanding of what you're listening to. but yeah if you are into skrillex then great. Obviously there's a stigma but that comes from the fact that the sound really doesn't share any roots or ethos with actual dubstep. Espeically when it comes to the 4x4 / 126bpm , etc. that is a far cry from anything remotely like dubstep. But thats cool, obv u are into the more aggressive side of things, no problems there. As for dubstep discussion though, The bro i am speaking poorly of is just not my cup of tea. It helps if the sounds are well-crafted, i.e. Skrillex et al, but imo if you listen to BAre, the shit is so shoddily put together like the bass patches don't even line up rhythmically with the drums sometimes. It's just a pile of shit a lot of the time.

well brostep should be pretty obvious, just listen to some skrillex or doctor p.

most tearout sucks, especially the type the OP is on about, but there's people who have done it right, ie, going aggressive and heavy but without ditching the mentality and the vibes of (at the risk of sounding pretentious) "proper" dubstep

Although I love Tearout, I will agree that a lot of it does sucks, but that's with any genre of music really. At first, I didn't like the "Riddim" tearout tunes, but I grew to like some of it as I listened to more of it.
